MAY 1, 2009 –-- Well, it looks like we are going to get some early May showers….enough anyway to cancel Tulare. The rainout will give us a weekend to catch up with some needed extra racecar maintenance. 

The 360 will get its mechanicals prepped for Friday night at Watsonville and the 410 Golden State car could use a little cosmetic work, it is starting to look a bit rough! I think it is time for a new fiberglass nose and some vinyl repair. 

Brian Matherly of Kaeding Performance calls sprint car racing a “gladiator sport” and he’s not kidding. These once beautiful machines operate in a tough environment and after six or so races need more than a post-race wash to look presentable.

Speaking of looking good, Gary of T Shirts by George promises to have our shirts printed this weekend so we should have them next Friday at Watsonville and the next night in Chico for the Bradway Memorial. At $10 we hope you will consider them for your shirt collection.
